| External Uses | Use as a hair rinse for premature baldness and hair loss after chemo therapy. Stimulates the hair follicles to renew activity. Also helps for dandruff. Use as a mouthwash for its antiseptic, antifungal and anti-parasitic properties. Also has a wonderful refining and stimulating effect on the skin. Filter into a hot bath. |
| Other | Use in soaps and creams. For animals: For heart problems, rheumatism, fits, paralysis, chill, lassitude, internal infections, fungal infections. For wounds, cuts, sepsis, bruises, abrasions. |
| Preparation | Pour 1 cup of boiling water onto 1 -2 teaspoonfuls of herb. Infuse for 5-10 min. Drink 3 times a day. Hot compress: Put 1-2 teaspoons of leaves into a facecloth, wrap and dip into ½ a cup of boiling water for 5 minutes. Allow to cool enough not to burn the skin, squeeze excess water from the facecloth and apply to affected area. Hair rinse: Take 2 cups of herb with 2 litres of water. Boil for 20 min. Massage into scalp. Use as final rinse and as a spray-on in between washes. |
