| Internal Uses | Beneficial for the treatment of: Headaches especially when caused by stress. Muscle pain, depression, sleeplessness, anxiety. May be used to treat nervous debility as well as exhaustion. Strengthens the nervous system. Helps with digestion. Helps ease sore throats. |
| External Uses | Soothes scratches and insect bites. Use hot compress for skin issues or filter into a hot bath. |
| Other | Use in soaps, creams & candles. For animals: For tainted milk, nervousness, vomiting, heat stroke, pain. Externally for cuts and many skin ailments. |
| Preparation | Pour 1 Cup of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of flowers and leave to infuse for 10 minutes. Strain and drink 3 times a day. Hot compress: Put 1-2 teaspoons of flowers into a facecloth, wrap and dip into ½ a cup of boiling water for 5 minutes. Allow to cool enough not to burn the skin, squeeze excess water from the facecloth and apply to affected area. |
| Safety and Precaution |
Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Lavender oil should not be consumed internally. It can be inhaled, rubbed on the skin or added to bath water. If unsure consult a health practitioner before use. |
