Internal Uses	Beneficial for the treatment of: Inflammation and oxidative stress (e.g. lowering C-reactive protein; enhancing antioxidant enzymes), muscle recovery, sleep and anxiety, indigestion, bloating, spasms and dyspepsia
External Uses	While primarily used internally (as tisane or tincture), lemon verbena essential oil may be used in aromatherapy. However, it can be skin-sensitizing and phototoxic, and is restricted in cosmetic fragrances under EU regulation
Other	Culinary flavoring for fish, poultry, jams, desserts, salads, beverages, and Greek yogurt. Aromatherapy/potpourri: valued for its lemon fragrance
Preparation	Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of herb. Cover and infuse for 5-10 min. Strain and drink as often as required.
Safety and Precaution	Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. May increase drowsiness; combine cautiously with alcohol or sedatives. If unsure consult a health practitioner before use.
